Mattapan Patriots seek volunteers!

The Mattapan Patriots Pop Warner Organization – an organization that provides football and cheerleading activities for boys and girls ages 5-15 NEEDS YOUR HELP!

They are currently seeking volunteers  to enhance their program - men and women who are interested in giving back to the community, committed to the development of our youth and willing to provide mentorship while serving in the following capacity: 

  • Football Coaches (head and assistant coaches / offense and defence coaches)
  • Cheerleading Coaches
  • Program Volunteers

For the safety of our children, please be advised that we conduct SORI and CORI background checks on all volunteers.

Yesterday Mattapan United partnered with the office of State Representative Dan Cullinane to host a job fair for the youth of Mattapan and surrounding communities.  It was very well-attended with over 100 youth and some fantastic organizations representing.  Below find more information and resources.

June Community Assembly: Fairmont Greenway in Mattapan: Let your voice be heard!

Mattapan United and the Mattapan Food and Fitness Coalition invite you to join a community wide assembly this Thursday, June 5 at 5:30 pm at the Mattapan Library (1350 Blue Hill Ave., Mattapan, MA). The topic is: Determining the Location of the Fairmount Greenway in Mattapan.  The Fairmount Greenway is a series of designated streets near the Fairmount Indigo line that will gain bike lanes and become green spaces to encourage more walking and biking.  The Mattapan section of the Greenway goes from Morton Street through Mattapan Square to Edgewater Drive.  > Read more
