Mattapan United February Community Assembly

Last night many of Mattapan residents came out to hear the Year-in-Review presentation from Mattapan United. A community lead initiative that came together to connect its residents and other leaders to define the future of Mattapan. The organization was founded in 2010 after a brutal massacre on Woolson Street amongst other tradgedy that had taken place throughout Mattapan.
On February 19th 2015, we were able to see what the organization, Mattapan United and its residents along side elected officials are capable of for a mission to make Mattapan a desirable place to live, work and visit.
The Community Assembly are held every month. The next assembly is on March 5th, 2014. Stay connected for more.

Youth to Women & Manhood, Inc.

Youth to Women & Manhood, Inc.

The theme for the month of March is adversity and how you handle it.
Youth to Women and Manhood is an inclusive non-profit
organization that focuses on working with our troubled
youth as much as our youth who are doing well, so
they may continue on a path of great success. Helping
to make sure they become respectable, responsible,
and accountable adults, who are morally and socially
comprehensive to themselves and their communities.
This creates tax payers instead of tax burdens. My soul
purpose is to work with youth as they transform into
adulthood so they become needed associates.

Please come out and join us on

Help Create the Fairmount Greenway Sponsor a sign!

The Fairmount Greenway is a 9-mile walking and biking route from Dorchester to Hyde Park that closely follows the MBTA Fairmount/Indigo Line. The Fairmount Greenway follows mainly low-traffic residential streets — similar to what is called a neighborway. The neighborway will safely connect residents, commuters, shoppers, and visitors to new open spaces, including parks, community gardens, schools, as well as neighborhood business districts and historic sites.
